The Bel Air Decorative Painters is a chapter of the Society of Decorative Painters in Bel Air, Maryland.
The chapter meets monthly and welcomes interested painters to join. Each meeting generally begins with a short business meeting followed by a "paint-in" taught by one of the members.
The Bel Air Decorative Painters are dedicated to serving the community through a partnership with a local hospital to paint and donate memory boxes. Memory boxes are given to bereaved parents of infants lost to miscarriages or early deaths to hold their precious keepsakes.
The chapter provides a scholarship on an annual basis to a graduating high school senior with an interest in studying art at the college level.
The chapter has partnered with Habitat for Humanity and provides welcome signs for new homes in the Bel Air Maryland area.
